I'm thanking people who are trying to help, unlike you and the 99% of other posters in here.

Okay but you're thanking people aren't actually being helpful... They are just giving you nonsense.

Which makes people who actually know stuff not want to help you.

Before i thanked anyone in this thread you gave me zero help and posted twice.

Me thanking people for their time is not wrong, I didn't say I was going to take their advice.

A comment like what Lightman made is neither helpful nor unhelpful, whereas bad advice is certainly unhelpful. You are also more likely to get serious answers from serious topics as it doesn't take a fckin genius to figure out 10 bananas a day is not good for you.

you know how simple and complex carbs are different right?

well, sugar naturally found in fruits, and processed sugar you buy in a bag are also a little different. read up on it if you're curious about it.

fruits also have some fiber, which can be desired when it comes to weight loss. ofc some quite a bit, others not so much. like pears are high in fiber, watermelon not very high.

either way, if you're looking into weight loss at all, it comes from a caloric deficit. not from which types of foods you eat. GL

Alright, since you legitimately seem like you are being serious, I will shed some insight on the situation.

Carbs are used by many systems and organs in your bodys for energy, with your brain being one of them. Sugars = carbs.

Now obviously anything in excess can potentially be bad for you. Too much water consumed can cause problems. The same with sugar and other things. That doesn't make sugar the devil though.

You need to be pounding sugar like it's your job to be worried about it and diabetes.

In terms of weight loss/gain, it's all about thermogenics and calories in/calories out. You could essentially lose weight with nothing but carbs in your diet. It's not smart to do, but to get the point across, it doesn't really matter what you eat in terms of fat/carbs/protein, as long as your caloric intake is below what your body uses on a daily basis.

Yes I'm serious. Thanks.

I've been monitoring my calories, and have been working out like a race horse everyday.
I've lost 10 pounds over 3 weeks, but I feel I could be losing more faster.

Is there a way to tell how many calories I burn? I use a heart rate monitor when I workout too, I like to keep track of how fast I can go from peak down to resting.

Right now My workouts are going well, I lift very hard and do light cardio after for 30-50 minutes(depending on how my shin splints feel that day)

They give me the fructose my brain craves and fill me up

It isn't entirely sugar.... the reason that eating some fruits may help with weight loss is that they are high in fiber and slow digestion of other foods leading to the impression that you are full longer. Other than that, they are just sugar and not even that much of it -- probably less than 1 calorie per gram...

In any case - if they "fill you up" and you are confident with your potassium (you likely only need to watch for potassium if you are on certain drugs/potassium supplements/you vastly exceed the dietary suggestion/eat all at once) you should be fine. Make sure you are eating food from other sources and getting a balanced diet as to obtain other vitamins and minerals.

Cut back on the bananas, there's no way you need that much sugar, eat a banana or two with some strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, etc..

The two posts that you think are helpful are by far two of the worst in this thread...

Dude tells you to stop eating so many bananas because of too much sugar, but eat other fruits that have just as much sugar in them. You seriously can't be serious thanking these people.

i told him to eat fruits with just as much sugar? are you ignorant, misinformed, a little bit of both?

people that spew incorrect information like you are the problem here.

Per 100 grams or 4 oz roughly:
Banana: 90 cals / 23 carbs / 12g sugar
Strawberry: 32 cals / 8 carbs / 5g sugar
Blackberries: 43 cals / 10 carbs / 5g sugar
Blueberries: 57 cals / 14 carbs / 10g sugar

not only are they all lower in calories, carbs, and sugar.. but diversification in a diet and quality foods are always a good thing.

Mostly water weight. But you don't want to lose more than 2lbs a week anyways.
