seems you think i'm saying anyone who eats tuna is going to get mercury poisoning. hell no eat canned tuna all the time, on toast with some old bay it's delicious

or maybe you're under the impression that i meant anyone who eats a can of tuna will die and that's why you're being so pompous. if so, sorry bout the misunderstanding, what i really mean is "methylmercury toxicity". all clear?

Careful man, he might try to explain how he is better than everyone here and that you're as toxic as the tuna.

it's just the first result on google, and this wasn't nutritional advice, it was a diagnosis (that's what doctors do, btw) i accept your apology for severely misunderstanding.

what? i love tuna fish and eat it all the time. i'm just saying, it's possible, it's a thing, and it's happened. a lot of people really over-exaggerate this, and that's why canned tuna gets a bad rep. i made this clear. can you read?

What bodybuilding article? (I stopped reading after your first sentence because you assumed I'm a broscience miscer who takes bb.com articles seriously.)

Do your own research like I've been doing for just about anything I find important. You're new here so you don't know this yet, but this isn't the first time I've talked about selenium over the last 5 years.

Quote (YOU)
all the flak probably comes from the fact that if you eat too much of it, you can get mercury poisoning.

This is what you said. If you wanna go back on that quote and soften it up, it's fine. But busting out the "if you eat too much tuna you'll get mercury poisoning" is propagation of a WRONG message. So yea I'll be a little pompous. Tuna is cheap, healthy and fucking amazing for lifters of all ages and calibers.

We've got new guys here who don't know any better and saying things like your first quote is misleading to them. What you're saying went from "if you eat too much you get mercury poisoning" to "it has happened in extreme cases, but it's over exaggerated". And then you tell people "Can you read?".

Can you write? Or did you realize halfway through the argument that you may not have been entirely right the first time around and you're trying to save face?

firstly, thank you for an adult response.

the first result on google when you search "tuna mercury", i had to look cause i was really confused at all the people severely misinterpreting what i was saying.

i never said "you'll", that means you will. i said you can. can and will are very different words, stop using the interchangeably. it's possible. it can happen, if you go from consuming none to eating a lot at once. i've seen it! i drove the dude to urgent care ffs, he was my roommate lol.

though i see what you're saying. statements and opinions must be worded in a fool-proof way. people here really want to make me out to be an idiot, so if they can misconstrue what i say by the smallest degree they'll go hard at it.

rather than say the sky is blue and be called a fool for it, i have to smarten up and say "Earth's celestial sphere is observed by non-colorblind individuals as light periwinkle during daytime hours" :P

LOL it can.

have you heard about the lady who entered a radio show contest to win a free nintendo wii, under the conditions she had to drink water every 10 minutes and not pee?

http://www.nbcnews.com/id/16614865/ns/us_news-life/t/woman-dies-after-water-drinking-contest/

but if you said water *will* kill you, that'd only be a minor difference and pointing out would be nitpicky. :bonk: unbelievable.
