and no benzos won't get you addicted as quick as fuck and kill you fast hahaha. The withdrawal is more dangerous, yes, people may get seizures and tachycardia and mental status changes... but nobody is going to prescribe months long treatment at high doses with them and regular physician and pharmacist follow up are there to reduce this likelihood even with the lowest of doses lmao.
Would you rather try drugs like benzos or clonidine etc. (keep in mind im not saying to prescribe them for every candidate -ideally certain drugs go with certain cases- you do a work up as a physician first lol) for symptom management first or put patients directly into the methadone program lol... there really aren't many choices, but it is done on a patient by patient basis.
my step mom use to get 60 bars a month.. every month... thats 2.0 MG Xanax a day.. so yes they do prescribe large amounts.
