I do have to agree on part of this.

The conventional medicine practiced here is based on putting a band-aid on things, not fixing them. But, that is basically the definition of medicine - treating an existing problem.

High blood pressure - there is a pill for that. Pre-Diabetes/Diabetes - there is a pill for that. Overweight/obese - there is surgery for that.

If there was more of an emphasis on prevention, and less on fixing already preventable problems, the situation might be better off.

Too bad there is too much money to be made when fixing preventable problems, and those that can prevent the problems (normal people) are either too lazy, too ignorant, or too stupid to do anything about it.

I would agree that prevention is better than medicine... pretty much everybody in healthcare agrees... but nobody wants it lol.
Yes..they realize that there is also a pill for that, and now also engage in risky behaviors like eating excessively and not exercising because they think - "well, i can always go blame my genetics and go get surgery/pills like everybody else"
People want pills for everything -- because they couldn't sleep at night, because they feel fat or ugly, because they feel depressed, because they DON'T want to change their lifestyles and we can't force them.

"you want me to skip my afternoon double XL starbucks just because I am having problems sleeping?!?! just tell me how to fix it dammit, didn't you go to school to tell people this kind of stuff? i am sure it is a common problem"
A month later the same guy comes in with a script for sleeping pills.

When push comes to shove, the "food guide" isn't even that bad... it would actually be a major step up for most people's diets if they followed it and it still allows flexibility in a lot of ways.

Yes but we all know this isn't how Josiahs brain works.

He would be the one to prescribe echinacea and a foot rub for ebola.

i can understand your a flamer of me but you cant say that i would do this and that.

there are herbal cures and medical uses yes, for example -

The common cold is Cayenne pepper.
ginger is a natural pain relief with no side effects that drug pain killers have.
ect ect

the problem is that these are not practiced in the public and cures are not being found. Rather, they are but not made public.

An example of that would be people going to germany to get cured of cancer.

another example is vitamin shots that are not available here, but yes in other countries. They also have herbal packs that are placed on general areas with problems. These people are cured by boosting their immune system or the herbal pack detoxifying the area it was placed.

There are so many cures and a side of healing that americans have never seen, but taking Massage Therapy im surprised im learning them. However, I won't be able to practice a lot of stuff that is not found in America unless I travel across sea's.

The Big Pharma that runs america prolongs or makes worse your condition, sucking your wallet dry. I will always be against anti-life practices or those who disregard life and health in general.

I want to use what works, what cures or what is the best treatment. Western medicine is becoming more and more useless when you learn these things.

the focus is shifting to prevention now, but at the same time (unfortunately) people these days are 1000x more likely to look for a solution to their problem after it causes them trouble rather than try to stop it from happening. to teach prevention we need to educate and WAY too many people dont care or take education seriously enough for this to be a viable strategy in the short term
