agreed

I'm 6'4 (wtf is with all these tall people in here), about 235 lbs and started my cut last week.

I exercise 5~ times a week and my tdee is 3173. Max you should cut is 20% bellow your tdee (maybe 25%) I hear so thats what I am going for, so 2538.4 kcals/day

I am eating at about 2400~ give or take atm.

are you cutting?

yeah just started cutting like a week ago, 2400 seem about right? I might drop it down to 2200

Problem is I don't have my usual scale atm, so I need to go buy one so it's hard to tell if I should be eating less or more. But I think I am eating a good amount atm

dafuq, i did lose quite some weight on 3500 kcal at 240lbs.
i would rather start slowly and dial up the deficit rather than the opposite.

2000kcal at 230+ seems like a safe way to lose muscle

How much muscle loss would you expect? Does that vary depending on your body fat%? I plan on doing a refeed every two weeks or so to keep my BMR up, but I am curious about how much muscle loss you think I would experience.

I was losing weight @ 3200 calories at 5'11 225 lbs. Training 5 days a week. No cardio. I did do alot of strength training volume at the time though.

1800 is certainly wayyyy to low though. I just wanted to give you an idea. You should almost be doubling that.

Yeah, if I eat 3200 I'm going up too, I will admit I haven't tried eating pure healthy 3200 calories though. Pure healthy at 1900 keeps me pretty full, might up it to 2100 though since I keep throwing up on leg days.

Fish, greens, chicken, oats, Greek yogurt, brown rice, ect.

I guess it could be done if you include whole grain pasta and what not, otherwise I would find it difficult to eat 3200 in calories a day in the above without consuming massive amounts of it.

Edit: like a giant piece of fish is around 200 calories and 45 grams of protein, and that's a huge piece. Unless that fish was restaurant quality it would be difficult to consume huge amounts of it.
