it's tough, and since most people in the world struggle to keep the weight off they simply do not understand how difficult it can be for people like us to gain weight and say shit like "eat more".
i'll assume when you eat, you're trying to eat until you're absolutely full. if that's true, it isn't about eating more volume, it's about being selective about what you eat. cut down on the low-calorie foods; they're only taking up valuable stomach space. load up your meals with calorie-dense things. if you cook your own meals, use lots of olive oil. put peanut butter in your whey shakes. instead of juice or water with a meal, drink a big glass of milk. make your oats with milk instead of water. little things that will add up throughout the day.
olive oil and nut spreads are your best friends, they can be added to almost anything.
now if you're trying to eat clean this can be especially challenging. unless you have the capability of really eating more than most people your size, some days you might have to weigh the importance between eating clean and calorie intake. for me, on days like this a slice or two of pepperoni pizza is my go-to. i try not to do this often, but on some days it's just a really easy way to get the cals.
there's also a whey powder called "serious mass" sold by GNC that has an absurd amount of calories in it. i've never tried it and don't know anything about it, so if you like the sound of it just do a little research to see if it's legit or not.
