not necessarily straight forward, but no more than 15 degrees out.
i squat like that very regularly and have instructed individuals with knee pain to squat like that and their pain resolved within a week or two.
i dont care if you dont believe me but its based on very basic physics/biomechanics. the further out your toes point, the more prone your ankle is to collapse and the greater the valgus force on the knee.
