Do you think it is bullshit that there are people eating 20K kcals/day?

There is no if. They are taking steroids, period.

Moving on, a 250lbs gym dude can easily eat ~4000-5000 kcals on a normal, natural metabolism. If said 250lbs dude starts a roid cycle he'll have to significantly increase is caloric intake.

Friend of mine took 4 cycles in a row started out at ~ 70kg ripped and ended at ~ 90kg ripped and consumed ~ 5000kcals/day in the beginning and up to 8000/kcals day near the end.

The dude would eat 15 hot dogs in one sitting, and that's a sub-200lb roider.

And a random local strongman who hasn't even won shit eats 15,000 kcals/day which I fully believe so I don't know why people doubt that the biggest and strongest mother fuckers on the planet can eat 20K

fair enough. if they are taking steroids and then if that requires you to consume way more calories, then it could be true. i just think that most people would exaggerate how much they eat, especially these strongmen. maybe the max they could possibly eat is 20k and an average day they eat 10-12k

Fat mass is not metabolically active and even carrying around extra fat mass doesn't add THAT much to TDEE.

I have a hard time believing 20,000 calories a day..

I mean I don't know how intense a strongman's training is nor am I trying to compare it to an olympic cardio sport but I found it impressive Michael Phelps (who only weighs 190-200 lbs) eats 12k a day when he is training.

Typical strongmantraining on that level, based on what Johannes Årsjö (swedens strongest and around top 10 in WSM) told me.
This was however almost 2 years ago.

5-6 heavy workouts that was 3-4hours each.
3 gymworkouts (deadlifts, squats, presses etc)
2-3 strongman specific.

He used to do 1-2 cardioworkouts aswell, usually 30-45min.
Cardio for him was reallylight frame/farmers/yoke or powerwalks with weight.

E: Haven't you guys seen Beastaesthetics when he did 21.000kcal in one day weighing like 180lbs and being natty.
