Ibuprofen is fine lol wtf.

Dentist gave me some last time I had an ache.

1. Orajel contains benzocaine 20%... you can buy an orajel naturals that contains clove oil
2. Clove oil is a more natural substance which may work for toothache
3. Topical application of NSAIDs hasn't really been studied... you might get some local inhibition of prostaglandins and see some results though. Why wouldn't you just take the tablet orally though?
4. Sensodyne is okay for sensitivities, especially if you have problems with eating sugary/acidic/hot/cold things... but it takes time to work and isn't for acute issues.
5. A focus on excellent hygiene and a trip to the dentist is probably your best bet - until you appointment, using orajel may help.

Has this pain been located in the far back of your mouth at the ends of the moulers the pain seeming to be the tooth poking at the gums?
My friend and I have been having this issue recently.
