Not sure how true that is because I read an article (pretty sure was Jim Stoppani (sp)) but it said that there's no benefit to mixing a scoop of whey protein with a scoop of casein because the casein will cause the whey to digest slower because it mixes and digests together. Wouldn't the same concept apply to milk and whey as well?
Unless something sends a signal to delay protein absorption, your body will digest whey as soon as it detects it. With that being said, post-workout protein consomption has been shown to have negligible effects. Even if you wait an hour to eat some protein, it won't affect your gains.
