disregarding the source/credibility, what do you think of the top 8 picks they chose, do you agree/disagree?
The list is pretty unbiased and they only chose types of supplements and not actual brands (i.e. creatine vs glutamine, not BMR vs Muscle Tech vs ON)
8. Glutamine
7. fat burners
6. Beta-alanine
5. Multi Vitamins
4. Creatine monohydrate
3. meal replacements - e.g. protein bar or weight gainers
2. whey protein
1. omega-3 from seal oil
pre workouts not in the top 8... only supplements I regularly take are whey protein, multi vitamins and omega-3. Currently consuming creatine at the moment.
I guess you can say I agree with their list
Glutamine and fat burners are a waste of money.
Beta alanine can be good in pre workouts, though far from necessary.
Multivitamins, creatine, fish oils (cheap fish oil is fine), are great to add to almost anyone's diet. Whey protein and weight gainers are just as beneficial for body composition, given your macros fit it.
Lightman has a fb article on other beneficial micros - folate, iron, vitamin d3, c, b6, and a few others iirc
