since they're liquid, i thought soups can only reach 100C? that's well below 160C

100C is the stable temperature, but on a stove-top and boiling, the temperatures can go well above 100.

160C is easily conceivable under the circumstances, and it is possible that some of the formaldehyde, or other toxic substances that compose the melamine could have leaked into the food.

The amount may be negligible, but it's really your choice if you want to waste the food or not.

Wtf... Eat it u pussy the old Asian guys at my work heat up veggies for like 2 mins in the microwave on Styrofoam plates which bends like crazy when they take it out, but they don't give a fuck.

Just because they do things which are potentially unsafe, doesn't make the action reasonable.

Do you guys think it's possible for a chemical to be lingering around without any detection? Are we able to identify every single chemical in plastics?

I'm just curious. If a chemical is not known to us, and does no instantly harm or have any instant effect on biological organisms.....are we able to find it?

Just a random question that came to me lol
