school is the biggest waste of time for those like me who had seen no purpose to be there.
I was not told that I needed a Diploma and that it was the beginning of a list of studying for a potential career one day.
The social aspect was terrible too, all the kids talking about the latest trend and drama happenings in school, going to go drink or smoke something or having sex. Typical social activities for the in-crowds.
I was a gamer during school, go waste my day in school and do nothing and cared nothing for it. Go home and play D2 and other games til I went to sleep. Sometimes I would hang out with family or friends but rarely because I only had one friend who was not family. You dont meet new people when you hate what everyone socializes about in school and how everyone treats each other like shit. I chose to be the loner and just made online friends in the games I played. My d2 friendslist was full of active regulars at one point and it was so fun back then. The game was even fun because it was D2's time to shine and before blizzard tended to killing their own games so that you would move onto their next big game.
High school would have served a purpose if I had role models and people to look up too, unfortunately for me, I did not have a role model (my aunt married and I call him my uncle right?, well he was my first role model). This was not until I was 24 or so. 25 now but turning 26 in a few weeks.
all in all, yes I was anti-social because of gaming. However, I didnt want to socialize with such crowds on my own decision. I am still this way, but have opened the doors to others who also want to do good in this world, instead of just not talking to everyone. I talk to everyone now and I try to be positive influences in peoples lives now. I try to be like my uncle, I view him as a great leader.
.......So yes, even if you do no homework and no classwork, you will still get to senior year in high school like I did. Then what you can do is study at your own pace and make up 4 years of high school in adult school in 6 months and get a diploma. Once your 18 though, that's the catch. I went back at 19 becuase the Marines wanted a diploma and becuase I was the fittest and potential Platoon leader, maybe they got extra money for platoon leaders I dont know. But anyway I turned down "guide" which is the name for platoon leader in Marines bootcamp anyway, even though i was the strongest in my platoon.
