You don't think so?

This kind of hairstyle is typically described as "looks like he just got out of bed and wiped his fingers back through his hair" - no product, no equipment

Even though it probably took 20 minutes and 3-4 different products + various tools

to me it looks very stiff and unnatural, as if he put stuff in it. i wouldn't describe it as fresh looking hair. but maybe that's how his hair naturally looks, which is biasing it. do you have a pic of his hair without any product?

my dad used to just comb his hair with a part after drying it, and it had a very different look. obv his hair wouldn't go up like that, so he couldnt use those hair styles

Gel is too sticky and it makes your hair go rock hard, people can both feel and see the look and it looks terrible. Plus once your hair reaches a certain length, no amount of gel will hold your hair in place (doesn't even have to be that long) while wax will keep your hair in pretty much any way you shape it (not final fantasy level though)

Not to mention it'll give the illusion of your hair "naturally" being raised/placed/shaped in the way it is, as if you woke up with your hair in that place/shape.

Example of natural looking trendy hair cut (wax + hair brush used)

So is your hair something like this?

Pretty much how I want to look as a 35-50 year old. History of baldness in the family so I might not make it to 35 with that much hair :(

Pretty simple, all you do is rub a bit in your palms and mix it around

Yes basically like the 2nd pic

I like keeping my hair short though I hate having long hair. Cream isn't gel is it?

Wax >cream>gel?

I dont put that much in.. about a dime size amount

Hair is really not that hard to do. Not 20 minutes of fine tuning and equipment.

It's just 5 minutes of quick product application, blowdrying is optional, and hairspray coating.

A few good companies for product are:

Hanz De Fuko
American Crew
Axe (with the right products, for budget)

Try not to go crazy with the amount op, its not how much you use thats causing your hair to look bad if you think it is.

Fine tooth comb + brush + blowdryer will give you volume and the product will give you hold/shine

I use ~ 5 minutes then give up cos it'll only get worse if I try to fix.

Most of my friends spend 10-30 minutes you can definitely tell the work pays off.
Most of that time is spent straightening with a hair straightener but fuark you get good results

Lol I'll do that somedays where the 2nd attempt is worse so I wash it all up and just give up

@OP It also depends on the thickness of your hair. For example, Asians have pretty thick hair that's why I use stronger
product and sometimes I'll even use extra.

I may still have big delts, but I am weak and could probably barely ohp you. :P

Don't tell anyone... I'm back to strength training after a year of hypertrophy. My numbers suck but I'll be back in a handful of months. ;)
