Hey bud, I'm a weightlifter as well. Check this link out :
http://www.garage-gyms.com/rogue-bars-comprehensive-buying-guide/It does a review of the rogue bars. Honestly, I've played around with an $1000 eleiko competition bar, a pendlay needle bar bearing, and most crossfit bars, and as long as it has a good spin you're good to go.
If you're using it for your home gym, I'd grab a pendlay needle bearing bar ($500 isn) and only use it for weightlifting. That means it shouldn't ever be placed on the squat rack, unless you want your knurling to fade out.
Rogue bars are just as good for a home gym. and cheaper. Here is something I hear often in the weightlifting community when it comes to buying lifting bars.
"Don't buy a super high quality bar for training because when you go to a competition and their equipment sucks in the training halls, it won't faze you. When you get to the platform and use that brand new eleiko competition bar and lift it, it will feel amazing".
EDIT: I got all excited and wrote this post but didn't read the thread. derp. I'll leave it up in case this helps anyone.
