So the social norms of gender roles is what you disagree with? What about the actual biological nuances, such as hormonal and actual neuronal firing differences that literally shapes and completely shifts how the different genders feel/act/behave etc. Gender roles are generally carried out/manifested quite wrong in society, I'll admit. But I think the overall paradigm of them is more or less just noting those biological differences, and the potential discrepancies that may arise resultantly.
