Here's how it works in Nevada:

You show up to court
1. Plea guilty - judge gives you a reduced fine (if it's a minor offense like speeding)
2. Plea not guilty - judge sends you out into the hall to talk with the DA. The DA will offer you either reduced fine or reduced points on your license (not both). If you are unable to come to an agreement, you get a 2nd court date scheduled.

2nd court date:
Cop doesn't show = you win
Cop shows = you are probably going to lose.

I have gotten two tickets. One for not using a blinker and the other for going 65 in a 50. Both times I plead not guilty, told the DA to fuck off, went to court the second time, the cop showed up and I lost.

I come up with all sorts of health issue bullshit and make all sorts of health related appointments.

If something happens. I write a letter to the DA's office asking them If they will be responsible for my health if anything were to happen. Since I have to miss my medical appointments for court. I try to get all sorts of proof as well from my doctors.

Then I continue to tell them that I've been stressed out over this court thing and If they have any recommendations to help me with my issues.

If you have a friend who is an attorney...you can get advice from them

This whole court thing is a game. You can play it and postpone it for months and months.

My ex brought me to court for rape when I was 16 because we broke up and she got jealous cause I moved on so quickly. ( I didn't rape her we fucked almost everyday so idk how she came up with so much BS)

WE ended up playing their game and we tried to sue her and the court system for not protecting the innocent. We made sure the court system would pay for all my fines and all sorts of stuff.

Of course they didn't and they just dropped the case after 8 months. Instead of playing defense..we went on offense lol

The shit a lawyer can come up with to post pone a date is INSANE. lmao

court is just a game. remember to find the best way to play that game. Sometimes it's better to pay that fine depending on which game board you're playing on. (AKA state, county)

Just learn the rules for that county/state

mph? i live in canada, and a 20km/h over is like $180 tops lol i don't even think that's excessive speeding if it's on a highway

but if you're talking mph, 20mph over is quite a bit...

Key words here is km/h thats like 2 mph you foreigners always trying to trick us sayin you did 180 km/h like its fast when I get my speedo to 140 MPH it's way faster than most of you could dream of doing in a car you built yourself.

21 over is wreckless operation of a motor vehicle. As a guy who has had several dozen citations (most of which when underage) I can tell you that the cop even being a prick was probably doing you a favor. Lets be honest, we know what he "clocked you at" but how fast were you really going? He probably didn't want to fuck you as hard as you could have been.

ABSOLUTE BEST outcome is to go in there dressed like a man, acting like a man, and plead guilty SINCERELY like a man. Pay the damn ticket and be done. It gets worse if you waste more of their time and yours. I had a lawyer drag out my 2nd offense OVI for damn near 2 years, and they threw the book at me. Literally maxed out everything but the fine, which was still 1,500 after the lawyer took 2,500. I didn't hurt anybody in the accident luckily.

If its your first or second offense, a seatbelt ticket or another minor offense, yea sure "fight it" plead not guilty and chances are good the cop won't show up. Why would he go to court to push a ticket for a couple hundred bucks on a guy when he could be out trying to write a $1,000++ ticket? On the off chance he has another case to see to the same day your scheduled, or a day off work, your screwed lol..
