Lol, funny enough, when I was going through problems the weight room was bad for me. It literally started my 3ish month long hiatus (though the problems were about 3 weeks). Not sure why, but lifting made it worse because it gave me more time to just think and be by myself in my own mind. Rest 60-90 secs per set - pure thinking and it got overwhelming. It was a strange thing hehe.
kind of had the same experience, but while in my relationship. Lifting made it worse, not better. I found a good balance though.
