I used to think like you when I was about 18 -
thinking the protein shake I have after my workout and my moms cooking was enough.
When I turned 19-20 I started counting stuff and was amazed to see how far off I was, and that It made sense why I wasn't making the gains I thought I would be.
im 21 now and don't need to count as hard as I roughly know by the end of the day if ive had enough fat/carbs/protein and if I needa squeeze in 1 extra meal before bed or not.
