Making asian style fried rice is the best

Fry like 2 eggs real quick, chop them up, add the boiled rice on top, a good slab of butter too. Any spices are fine.. I like some zest so I'll use a bit of pepper, cayenne, cajun, paprika, oregano, and this random Ms. Dash spice blend (not too much of any of these, don't want to overwhelm).
Soy sauce and teriyaki sauce in the pan too. Just one or the other if you don't have both.. soy is very cheap and easy to keep around.
But yeah, the egg makes the difference, try it out, if nothing else.

wow how did i forget about fried rice... i could chuck some veggies in there too etc, thx a lot!!

any chance you know of a sodium free one? i've looked around the asian markets but no luck :(

thinking about trying this one out:

if you do get it, lemme know how it is! but what did they replace the sodium with to keep the flavour?

Yeah; all the different varieties of furikake I've seen have sodium content.

Different varieties have different amounts of sodium, of course, but you'll want to check the label if you're monitoring your sodium intake.

The one I posted ^^ above tends to have less sodium than Kikkoman reduced sodium soy sauce, fwiw.

just ordered. if you look at the ingredients, the first two are sugar and potassium chloride. considering it's only 10 calories per teaspoon (aka 1 cup broth), the sugar shouldn't be too overwhelming. from the reviews, i'm guessing it tastes more like veggie broth than chicken broth.
