I am proud to say I'm a healthy pooper :)

k

Like I saw saying above, I got hit by a car a while back, so I don't have any intention of doing heavy lifting for a while. I'm gonna do cardio, light lifting
I want to increase my overall strength a bit; guess I should start doing more pushups and crunches/stretches etc.

How is your guys' diet? How many times a day do you eat? What do you eat?
BTW all this feedback is appreciated

push ups crunches and stretches have nothing to do with any significant strength increases

Meal frequency is not something to concern yourself with right now, just make sure your overall daily calories and macros are consistent. I can't stress how much you should learn about macros (your fats, carbs, and of

course godly protein), it will help you understand what you should be eating a tremendous amount. If you would like to get into lifting later on after your injuries are fully healed it would be pretty beneficial to try out

exercises in the gym with extremely light weights while you are healing to start developing a better mind muscle connection. (think more going through the motions rather than lifting to develop muscle) Easily thrown in as a

cool-down after your cardio if that's the route you want to go. All of this is very goal dependent though, so make sure you know what you're exercising for!

For myself I eat 4 times a day I guess. Breakfast is always the same, just oatmeal and some brown sugar. Lunch is always leftovers from the night before (I always cook enough for a lunch the next day when making supper). This consists of some type of heavy carbohydrate food such as rice, potato or I will just take whatever the food is and put it into wraps plus a protein (chicken or some red meat). That basically explained my supper. A carbohydrate a protein and fats are just in the oil's or sauces I use. The fourth meal changes based on when I work out. It is just simply a post workout shake . it is always the same. It consists of 2 scoops of powder, a banana, 2 scoops of ice cream and about 600ml of 2% milk.

Fiber is just greens or fruit that are snacks or added to the meals , and for liquid, I just drink a ton of water all day.

They're terrible for your diet, even if you're in great shape

I remember a great HIIT program my grade 9 phy. ed teacher showed us (I lost like 45+ lbs in that class) but lost motivation somewhere on the road lol
so I've got a comprehension on the whole cardio thing, what about strength improvement? Are push-ups/crunches overrated? I'm also trying to be careful as I got hit by a car ~5 weeks ago, my vertebrae isn't fractured anymore but my back still gets sore once in a while

You should have just listened to my first post in this thread.

You need to lift weights. Any beginners program will be sufficient if you do not have much past experience lifting weights.

Red meat, bread, and sugar is not bad for you but anything can be bad when consumed in excess. All you need to do when you want to lose weight is eat less calories than your total daily energy expenditure (TDEE)

Unless you want to be able to do a lot of push-ups, there's really no point in push-ups unless you can do more than 15. All bodyweight exercises are not really that beneficial when you can do 20+ no problem.

little mind blower, everyone needs to lift weights at a certain regimen. has nothing to do with bodybuilding. what with modern age and the decadence of man brought on by sloth and ease of access, a weightlifting regimen of the smallest caliber is pretty much a necessity nowadays just to maintain overall stimulus.

I've heard from a lot of fitness specialists that they dont digest very well, and to be honest I dont mind staying away from them. I learned how to make toast w/ cauliflower thats even tastier than bread :)
will start working on basic lifting tho
