Yeah, and they also have trained for 10+ years, 5-6 days a week. Not a valid model..

More like 6-7days a week with 2 workouts per day.

But it's still the same thing, they rarely do the eccentric part and still develop pretty much musclemass.

Not taking anything away from them
You gotta do what you gotta do

I couldn't even do 3 of their workouts per week.

Actually, rounding of the upperback forces you to have a strong upperback. Without a strong upperback, you won't be able to lockout (rounded upperback forces you to pull the scaps back at the top of the lift).

As for the reps, I thought that was common knowledge. That's actually why I giggle when most people say they do X lbs for X amount of reps. Touch and go is a completely different ball game than resetting is.

The eccentric on a deadlift is pretty much useless, when it comes to strength training. A large amount of injuries actually result from the eccentric portion.

Locking out in the upper part of the RoM requires no strength lol

It requires back strength to lock out, assuming that you're rounding at the thoracic. Read it in context, dammit. (First line of the post you quoted)

A deadlift isn't completed until the shoulders are brought back, if you weren't aware. That's why people hitch, because they can't lockout.

It takes much more strength to left the bar up with the shoulderblades pinched from the beginning. I personally don't load the bar with more weight than I can dead lift with that form from the beginning.

That comes down completely to preference, but as you may notice, the majority of the best DLers round at the thoracic.

Because they're trying to pull as much as possible, not to train their back with that attempt. Obviously, the upper back won't be working isometrically if you let the upper back round, but it will allow you to pull more.
