Fine, I read both articles :)

Thanks a lot to Oak and Troll. I think I might give them a try at some local gym for a few training sessions, and if I am convinced enough, I'll buy one myself for my gym. If I can.

I'm not thinking of quitting squatting, but yes, this definitely will let me focus more on my quads, since I've always felt almost all the work load on my glutes and hams, and my quads never seem to be really working with the squats. I changed to front squats a month ago, and they have started to get a little better, but still I don't feel them as much as I think I should.

Thanks again <3

You shouldn't have to feel things when you're training. The only time I would say you really feel it is if you're training for hypertrophy.

Once more, I'm almost ALWAYS speaking from a strength perspective, so I may have been completely off on what your goals were. For that, I apologize. Even then though, I would still recommend you find other things in place of leg pressing.

Well, my leg day (whn I train with split routine) is usually

5xBack squats (I don't mention reps because they may vary, but when doing splits I usually go for hyp and then stick to high reps, like10 or so)
7-8xFront Squats
6xDeadlift, or more usually stiff leg deadlift
4xlunges with dumbbells
4xleg curls
4xleg extension

I would be doing the leg presses some days in the place of the back squat, some other days instead of front squats, etc

LOL? You're one of the people who thinks you need to feel a "burn" in order for something to work? Pumps do absolutely nothing for you in terms of strength and hypertrophy, whereas fatigue can be obtained through various other things. What's your targeted muscle during a squat, btw?

i dont NEED to feel a burn or a pump or whatever but i need to feel my mind focusing on my target muscle while it fatigues. I disagree that pump does nothing for hypertrophy.. increased bloodflow is beneficial to hypertrophy.

Your target muscles on squat are quads/glutes/hams/hips (its a compound so multiple targets obv)

now are YOU one of those people who thinks they know the complete science of lifting because they read some internet articles despite the fact that most things in lifting are debatable and you personally train with girl weight?

just sayain bro, theres a reason bodybuilders cream their pants for the epic so called "pump"

Well dude keep in mind that I usually do that training when training fro hypertrophy, not when aiming to gain strength  so it's usually much lighter weight with more reps and less rest time. And if you wanna know the tru definition of volume of work, check out one of Boxa's trainings

Well, for now I don't really care much about the strength in my legs. First of all, I want them to be somewhat bigger because they have kind of fallen behind the rest of my body. When I get the legs I want, I will start to train for strength once again :)

Oh, and I used to go heavier and with less rest for hypertrophy and it didn't work for me, so now I'm trying this one... We will see.

I would still suggest incorporating strength work, brah. How long have you been training and are you eating enough? Results don't come over night. ;) Take a look at the link below and read up.

I'm just going to be witty and giggle at you with this:

But as I have been pointing out for years and years and years, if you’re not adding weight to the bar over time, you’re simply not growing. You can focus on the feel and the pump and the squeeze all you want; if you’re using the same weights 6 months from now that you’re using today, you won’t be any bigger.

http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/muscle-gain/reps-per-set-for-optimal-growth.html

I can provide you article after article on pretty much anything you have to say. And the best part is that they won't be from random people, they're be from well respected people in the field. You undermine the value of research, apparently. And yeah, I totally train with girl weight, because that's relevant, right?
