In all honesty though, if you do this shit and you keep doing it and work your ass off and realize that you're training mma not UFC, then kudos to you.

thank you, thats the idea. might not be for me though, well see.

Well, at least you realized that you shouldn't step into a ring in under 2 weeks of training against anyone over 2-0.

But strength has nothing to do with fighting. So many fighters in the world don't have knock out power. They may have speed, ground game, both (you're fucked then).

I've been training 8 months in Muay Thai. I've fought a professional in a 60% spar. I got knocked down so many times. They have pinpoint accuracy. And their kicks hurt like a bitch.

I'm moving to blue belt in BJJ this summer once I get a job and can afford training again.

I'd get in the ring with someone who was 2-0. But nothing over that. And I'm pretty decent for 8 months/4 months of thai/bjj.

Also, if you continue this career path, your amateur record disappears once you turn pro. So no worries about a loss here or there. Not a real reflection on you as a fighter, since in MMA, nobody goes undefeated.

That other arguement wasn't personal... That was a philosophical training issue...

This is a serious post btw:

Strap on some boxing gloves, line up 5 of your friends, and beat the shit out of them 1 by 1. When the first one goes down/bleeds/or gets KO'd, the next friend is up. Should help on your stand up.

He'd run out of friends fast. Why not just start some shit with people on the street or something, rather than fight your friends? Your theory makes no sense.
