Although foot positioning during walking, squats, etc. is indicative of individual hip flexor strength/development, sometimes it is a skeletal issue that can not be fixed from changing stance. However, if you have never had any trauma to the pelvis/hips, and you tends to point your toes outwards, you can try to reduce the weight and go more towards a neutral position, ie: slightly outward pointing, or in-line. Will training with outward stance hurt? Not necessarily, but it certainly will enhance whatever muscular over/under development you already have.
Ok, I'll give the "yoke" approach a try.
Can a doctor confirm if its skeletal vs correctable hip issue - or would it cost a crap ton as i don't think insurance will cover this question...
