If you believe that CKD is really that much better than a carb cycle - we can try that. I would just need some examples of meals and what my macros should be.

and also- if we do go with CKD, I would start next week but the weekend is my sisters wedding and I know I can't stay true to the diet during that. So would it make more sense to start AFTER the wedding?

Also yes, I would definitely start after the wedding. Until then, just keep activity level high and taper the carbs down a bit.

how can i make myself competitive? i've never had the drive to win competitions, to be better than anyone else, try to convince people my opinion is right, or had ambition. it's impacted my school, dating, and career. most recently i started playing chess again online. but as soon as the game stops being interesting, i resign and move on. so i haven't won a game in long time since i resign instead of checkmating the opponent. i'm the only chess player i know who does that, so i dont think it's normal.

It definitely is not "normal" but also not that uncommon either. Lack of ambition, particularly in winning, is a sign of early-age traumatic emotional response to significant events. Generally, something we perceive as silly, insignificant, or mild in our current mindset, could have been groundshaking for long-term psychological effects as a child. That being said, the only solution to issues like this is therapy and being able to talk and open up to someone who understands human emotion and psychology. Bottom line, I highly recommend that you spend some time with a psychiatrist and see if you can work the problems out.

how long should i stay on the stronglifts 5x5 routine? i started at a very low weight, either just the barbell or 25's on most exercises. it has now been 4-5 weeks. i hear most people do it for 12 weeks, but should i just go until i can't make any more progress? i see it taking a lot more than 12 weeks for that.
i build a basement gym and i have a power rack, an incline decline bench, 2 bars, and weight plates. so i chose to go back to this routine because i don't have as much access to other machines as i did at my standard gym with membership
thanks ray!
here is a picture of my setup http://i.imgur.com/h28WDM5.jpg i have to get more plates very soon, im about to max out what i have (only 255) :(

Hey there. 12 weeks at a minimum is fine. Some people will need more. Let your body be your guide!! If you start seeing major drop off, time to deload, take a week off, and then get back into it or even start hypertrophy for a while.

Not everyone can do Keto. Depends on body types. As far as macros go, carbs are carbs some people can get ripped on pop tarts others on sweet potato.

2,200 cals is actually gonna be right on the money for a cut. You are burning around 2,500 cals per day just from being sedentary, and another 500 cals per hour of intense exercise. That means you would want to take in around 2,200-2,500 cals in order to sufficiently cut with 1 hr of exercise per day. If you do more than 1 hour, you will need to increase cals. Quite frankly, 2,200 might be a bit below where you need to start. 2,200 might be good for rest days and 2,500 might be better on workout days.

Depending on % of calories or grams. If dealing in grams, it should be around 50/50 or 55/45 (fat/protein). If dealing in calories, it should be 70/30 fat/protein. The carbs should be no more than 20g per day, which is 80cal (MAX)
