Eating will help a lot m8! I enjoy the lean lifestyle but i'd rather be strong.

if you squat 405x8 you most likely squat over 500!

I knowww, my friend is trying to convince me to join him in training for a powerlifting meet in october, but its hard to pack on the pounds and become un-aesthetic :(

yeah idk I could never break 465 (highest I ever got but it was on singles so I did quite a few sets working up to it). I also don't do atg powerlifting form like yourself lol I do parrelel/slightly below. Inb4flame, think its more of a hip flexibility thing for me.

You have pretty solid genetics you can probably powerlift and be aesthetic (aube style)

I don't think I'm anyware close to atg atm. It's all good if you are not competing. Gotta do more volume with higher intensity to get use to it!

Oh well ty m9 :) I'll do what I can. I suppose if I just eat more, but keep it clean I can stay fairly aesthetic!

haha good point. Hey Aube, are you doing a specific routine or what? I've never really training for powerlifting, so I'm fairly new to all this.

I was on a routine I had made for me and the 2 lifters I coach but my injured body couldn't keep up with the frequency. I reduced squat frequency to 3 times/2weeks and dead to 1/week with 72 hours between each days. Looks like it's holding up pretty well.

I'm having Light/Medium/heavy days which I rotate. (60-70%/75-80%/85-90%) nothing complicated compared to the prog my novice is about to complete.
