Hey Raynor, how are you?

Which is a better carb source for cutting?

Brown rice (long grain) - half cup cooked
or
Whole wheat flour - 30 grams

I had my food intolerance test and they say i'm mildly intolerant to rice , they didnt say white or brown though..

brown rice...but preferably oatmeal is better than both for cutting and for people with a rice intolerance.

the proper pushup depends on the person.

I like to do pushups with various hand placements (close, wide, diamond, low, high, inclined, declined, etc.)

Always go deep...right before your torso hits the floor...do not let it touch.

do slow and controlled reps...focusing on the pump in the chest.

make sure to not lock-out your arms with every rep...instead...once you start pushing up...go RIGHT back down just before your elbows lock. This keeps the stress on the chest and maximizes the pump and muscle fiber tearing (which increases size)

lastly...make sure to breathe properly...that means breathe in on the way down, and out on the way up. If you get tired or nauseous half way through the workout....take a break, drink some water and continue.

sept 1st or possibly this weekend I will start my clean bulk while trying to keep my bf stable. I've had enough of cutting, losing strength slowly and its frustrating me lol. I want to hit that 200 lb mark :)

I'm at 171 lbs right now, down from 188. My goal is to hit 200 by May of 2010.

This diet/plan, please critique.

thinking about fasted cardio, but prolly not

6:45 am - 1 scoop whey/bcaas

7:30 am - 4 egg whites, 1 whole egg, oatmeal or brown rice, glass of milk, multi, fish oil

10am - trail mix or beef jerky

1 pm - chicken breast, brown rice, olive oil

4 pm - banana, creatine with grape juice

4:15 pm - workout, gatorade powder/bcaas

5:30 pm - 2 scoops whey protein/bcaas/creatine

6:30 pm - steak/chicken/pork/some kind of meat with brown rice and olive oil, fish oil

9 pm - beef jerky, trail mix, or cheese

10 pm - casein protein and maybe a small amount of cottage cheese

My lifting routine will stay the same, but with much higher weight once I start to digest the carbs again lol.

Would it hurt if I'm bulking to do cardio for 20min after my workout, or do I need that protein right away? :/

repost from my thread, would like your input also.

pushups seem to hurt my wrists, is there a good way that minimizes wrist pressure? I've been doing them on my knuckles, but I wish there was another way

You can do the cardio RIGHT after the workout, just take more bcaa's.

also avoid gatorade DURING the workout, and take it only AFTER...this will allow for fat loss during the workout and glycogen replenishment afterwards.

in addition, dont eat too much beef jerky...too much sodium...keep ur sodium as close to 2G / day if not less.

you use the gatorade powder or put bcaas in bottles of haterade?

the powder is legit... pretty much just some maltodextrin/flavoring/sucralose
bottle = HFCS
