I just came across "single-set resistance training" and people advocating it's comparability to multiple sets. Have you heard about this?

If you are referring to maximum exertion on a single set, vs multiple sets, yes I have heard of it. I personally do not advocate this approach, as personal experience, as well as numerous studies have shown that maximum exertion over multiple sets has resulted in better overall muscle fiber tearing and stimulation. MOST people see better gains over shorter periods of times with multi set training such as 5x5, 3x5, etc.

could be numerous things....had you ever felt this way before when working out at different times of the day?

What is your eating/drinking pattern before/during/after working out usually like?

Before usually I have a banana and preworkout after I wake up, sometimes a protein drink too.

During just water, after I have some breakfast food and some whey. Been feeling better lately, not sure why.

THanks for the help.

Hey raynor

What do you think about Vegan diet

Basically it's only eating fresh fruits and veggies until 4pm then cooked vegan foods after 4 are ok. No meat or animal by products

I'm new to the whole weight lifting scene. Looking for some help getting started.

I'm 6ft, 170ish pounds, like 16% body fat. I've looked up programs and such, Chris cook had a nice one but I'm afraid of working my muscles too hard and too fast.

My main concerns are a beginner program I can follow that will help cut a little bit of fat (I don't need 6%) and put on some much needed muscle.

Another problem I have is protein. I love chicken, beef basically any meat that gives protein, but I don't like fruits vegetables, eggs or pretty much anything else lol.. I can eat cottage cheese but not Greek yogurt. Anything with good amount of protein I could eat? Suggestions would be nice.

If you could pm me back I'm not sure when I'll be on jsp again, and would really love any help, from you or anyone else

Thank you for your time!

What are your thoughts on garcinia Cambogia? I just started taking it.

Realistic expectations?

I am 5'9, 195 pounds. My ideal weight is 160-165.

I suck and I don't eat well. An improvement for me is eating tater tots and chipotle instead of fried rice and McDonald's.

I run 2-3 miles twice a week on an elliptical.

this is the 5th time I've tried posting this but my apple phone POS keeps crashing so I'll make this brief

need a new split for a routine
I go to the gym 4-5 times per week. very consistent

have been on this for 6 months now
back-bi
chest-tri
shoulder-leg

new split doesn't have to be 3 day
I'm bulking obviously
stuck at a plateau

diet is my weakest point but I am improving daily
supplements are: M Stak by Animal, first 3 week cycle. almost done. Cellucor Creatine (creapure), C4 preworkout and inner armour mass gainer

didnt list exercises I do and I don't necessarily need exercises, just a split. familiar enough with fitness

like I said DOESNT have to be 3 day like I have now
example; some friends do
shoulder arms
legs
chest
back

sorry for poor grammar and sentence structure
iphone sucks

That's strange. It could be a number of things, what seems to have made it better? Has anything changed?

Personally, I am tremendously opposed to the vegan diet. In my opinion, through years of research, as well as existing studies, I have determined that human beings were most certainly geared towards eating meat. Maybe not as a primary food for their diet, but certainly in a great supporting role.

Most protein from vegan sources is extremely high in phytoestrogen, which obviously is not ideal for hormonal balancing and/or building muscle.

I could go on and on all day - but the bottom line is that I personally do not recommend such a diet to anyone.
