They are fine, and there is no reason not to incorporate it into your diet if your macros allow it. Chickpeas, even made into hummus, is perfectly healthy and provides a decent amount of complex carbs/fiber as well as some decent micronutrients. The fat content is good and won't hurt you in the least.
I don't usually add it to mealplans, as it is an acquired taste for most. I tend to keep the meal plans basic to appeal to the largest audience.
