It's kinda chronic, bending over can agitate it and make it stiffen up.
Was mulching 2 weeks ago and had a lot of trouble bending over after moving bags around and spreading the mulch.
I wouldn't say its exactly pain, more like chronic discomfort. Kinda like the same tight feeling you get after doing deadlifts or good mornings
It's been going on for about 2 weeks or so
You should see a chiropractor (check reviews of your local ones first).
In addition, spinal decompression, in the form of an inversion table would be helpful as well.
I don't surmise that you injured yourself, however tightness of the lower back can be indicative of constant muscle strain/stress. This can occur as part of a daily labor related job, sleeping on an improper mattress, or even lifting weights incorrectly.
In your case, I think some stretching, along with spinal decompression and/or chiropractic adjustments should make a positive difference. If you notice the problem get worse to the point of high levels of pain, please see a doctor.
