always negative man :/

give him a break, he stopped posting 8 topics a day and made a legit thread where he is looking for advice and to progress

edit: saw your edit. agree with your point

This is true.

Progress is Progress I suppose.

Just keep it simple, enjoy and gains will come

Those are very easy first year numbers.

Maybe you should reevaluate the amount of thinking you do and just move the weight

I actually don't mean that in a disrespectful way. Just lift and enjoy lifting. Everything in this thread is so over thought.

Those aren't easy numbers for a newbie.

Unless you have someone teaching you about proper diet and progressive overload etc no chance will you hit those in your first year.

I rarely ever see people at the gym bench 2 plates.

3 plate squat and 4 plate deads are like spotting a unicorn at my gym. Most people will never hit those numbers in their first 5 years let alone the first .

You don't need any of those things, just common sense and basic drive. Work harder than last time. Those are not even difficult numbers if you have drive. Most could easily excel past those and as far as diet goes use your head. Like most of the better lifters on here you eat what you want while using common sense.

What kind of gym are you going too? Hell when I was in highschool if you werent putting up those numbers or better you were the weak one. Our weight club was Bench+Squat+Powerclean though, deadlift was just something people did for fun.

Yeah my last gym before I moved last April was a university gym, few guys could squat 700+. Most anyone could kill those numbers. I felt like a bitch if I had less than 405 on the bar for deads. But it was mostly varsity athletes

It is true highschool kids pull that now easily as they used to come in for first year university and hit that no problem

Yeah, I mean im not claiming to destroy those numbers, but to say that most people dont hit those numbers in multiple years of lifting is blasphemy. I think alot of people with smaller frames plateau when they refuse to do an actual bulk cycle. Turtol for instance would benefit from a good bulk cycle. Im talking a good surplus of calories to put on that mass then cut once he gets his size up a bit because from what ive seen in this thread, his size has been pretty consistent and his numbers ,while they are improving, are pretty slow climbs.

A commercial gym. A normal person stepping into the gym isn't going to hit those numbers.

Big difference between the average joe and a hifhschool/university athlete who has guidance from coaches and trainers and are expected to hit certain weight classes.

I was 20 when I started to train (ok I trained bench and arms for 3 weeks when I was 16), from the first time I did squats and deadlifts it took me 1 year to get to a 315 squat and a 440 dl, was 6ft ~175lbs at that time.
That was without any prior knowledge or any help, just sometime trained with some friends on about the same level.

It's not really that hard numbers to hit if you just go in and actually train and manages to stay free of injury (main part).

Don't know anyone that squats 315 honestly . Strongest guy I know benches 225 but he's been lifting for 5 years and is 170 lbs, sub 10%

These are just my personal experiences though .
