That sounds very anecdotal. A banana, is rich with sugar, but also potassium. The total calories for a single large banana is around 120, mostly from sugar. However, assuming that you eat the banana post workout or first thing upon waking, the spiked insulin level from the banana shouldn't make a big difference. If you eat bananas throughout the day, you'll be getting too much sugar.

So basically, if your diet/macros can afford the banana, and you time it properly, it shouldn't have any issues.

Pre workout not good to eat banana?
Just curious cuz I want to switch to apple/banana a day instead of a orange

It would be much better to do it PWO when your glycogen stores are depleted.

Is it realistic to see depleted glycogen stores after an hour of rather intense weightlifting. Enough to where immediate carb consumption is needed?

Not COMPLETELY depleted, but reduced enough to where you would benefit from it.

gotcha. Where does the benefit come from? Just curious. and vs just having a meal with ~70g carbs 1-2 hours later.

An immediate insulin spike PWO will result in protein (amino acids) being shuttled to the muscle rapidly at a time when it is most necessary for repair. This hormonal change results in anabolism PWO, vs muscular catabolism, and thus has a positive effect on muscle growth (or during a cut, a reduction in muscle wasting).

Hey I have a pain behind my knee on the back of my leg. It feels like it is a tendon issue/strain. I first felt it when doing hill sprints a few days ago. It does not bother me unless I have my leg slightly bent and lift it up. Dead lifts did not bother it yesterday.. Bodyweight squats don't either. Seems to be just running that aggravates it

Any idea ? Worthy of doctor ?

hey I never really asked about this since my fats are usually lower so even if i miss counted it would still be in my macros
how do i track my fats from olive oil? say i use 1 tbsp for 1 lb of ground turkey, would I count it as .25 tbsp per serving? so if i do the same for my chicken would it be .5 tbsp olive oil per day? is 1 tbsp olive oil too much for 1 lb of turkey?
also I dropped my macros, it is now 76 fat 228 carbs 171 protein. I also get at least 35 fiber each day, so that would really be under 200 carbs. Should i try this for a week and see how it goes? then drop more carbs and add more protein??
