Well gaining strength is nice, but its really only necessary if youre training for something specifically. Strength isnt always represented properly by numbers.
my friend is 165lbs like me and squats more weight and benchs more as well. however, you put us both in the middle of the room and the goal is to push the other person to the wall on their side, i win every time.
