1. If you really want to strive for the best and avoid mediocrity, it would be best to have a gym membership and utilize it at least 5 days a week.

2. If you want to see optimal results, you will need to control your diet, which for a hardgainer such as yourself, will require eating a LOT of clean food.

3. Your goals are realistic, but your method of achieving them is not. You will need dedication and willpower to achieve these goals, and to maintain them once achieved. If you are willing to take on the responsibility, I will provide you with the appropriate plan(s).

1. What does a gym have to offer that I can't do at home? I thought that workout machines are not good as they just work the main muscle, not any of the supporting muscles. I don't mind getting a set of free weights.

2. What do you define as clean food? I googled that term and it was basically organic foods.

Also is it best to workout in the morning (7am or so) or after work (7pm or so).

Thanks for the list of workouts.

hey!

i'm currently going to the gym basically twice a day and 7 times a week, doing cardio at 6 in the morning and after work i go lift weights without cardio.

i was wondering if doing only 1 muscle (group) a day makes any sense. did biceps yesterday, today chest and tomorrow i'm gonna do legs.

is there any advantage/disadvantage in doing it like that? i used to do have a 3-day-split (biceps+chest+abs ; triceps+back ; shoulders + legs) and felt like i want to put more work into each muscle group.

another thing that i'm worried about is i have not changed my protein intake, and since i work out less muscle groups each day, should i reduce my protein/food intake? (i dont have a very strict diet, i'm pretty happy with my body and just like to work on it)

i'm a noob when it comes to alcohol. hated vodka and whiskey. since i like sweets, coworker recommended amaretto. i bought a bottle of barton's amaretto di amore and it tastes great. for some reason though, the bottle didn't come with a nutrition facts label. i'm looking at different sites to figure it out.

this site says it has 12g of protein in 1.5 oz. i have a hard time believing that. and a few of the other sites say it doesnt have protein.

http://www.calorieking.com/foods/calories-in-liquors-spirits-amaretto-di-amore_f-ZmlkPTE1ODcwNw.html

is that site just wrong? or perhaps i'm misreading it.

how long can i keep the bottle of alcohol after opening it before it goes bad? i've never seen it refrigerated on tv, so i'm guessing it doesnt have to be refrigerated?

the bottle says it's 21% alcohol. so for 1.5 oz, i guess it's 0.21 * 1.5oz = .315 oz of alcohol. so for this amount, how much extra water should i consume to compensate for the dehydrating effect of alcohol?

forgot to ask another question. how do you recommend i determine my tolerance? i'm not sure how quickly alcohol effects start and how quickly it leaves my system. i assume there's some ideal x ounces in y minutes strategy i can use?

DMAA, when taken in moderate doses will NOT hurt you unless you have a pre-existing heart condition - which in that case, any stimulant would be potentially quite dangerous.

That being said, DMAA itself is nothing more than an oil extracted from the geranium plant. It's a stimulant, much like caffeine, and when taken in moderation will not cause any adverse effects.

Jack3d on the other hand has a lot of artificial ingredients which I would avoid.

Then if I were to try out another pre-workout supplement, what would you advise? Or are you against them?

I also need a little help with my stubborn pectorals. The upper portion of it is really lagging behing. My lower pec and front delts are developping really well, therefore I tried to put emphasis on the upper pecs, without great success. Everytime I try to do an inclined press movement, I feel it a lot in my front delts and not really in the upper chest, even when do inclined flies I tend to feel it in the shoulders instead of the chest lol

Any advice is welcomed

on the topic of trying new drinks, i remember you recommended black coffee for pre-workout. so i was searching on amazon and couldnt find a single black coffee. then i asked a friend, and he said black coffee just meant coffee without cream/sugar. do you have a recommendation on what flavour/branch coffees to try for newbies? or is it similar to alcohol in the sense that they all taste disgusting and people just force themselves to get into it?

i tried drinking coffee at work a few years ago, but i was putting in 20 packets of splenda to make it taste good....i dont wanna run into that problem again. or is whipped cream + stevia ok?

also, how can i reduce teeth stains if drinking coffee? i dont really wanna brush my teeth every 30-60 minutes....

It seems like whenever I eat a lot like 3k+ calories, my throat starts hurting a day or 2 after. Help me haha

And no it's not from sucking cock like the trolls in the forum say. Lol

This can be many things....please explain the following:

1. Is it only when consuming certain foods?

2. Is it only when eating foods quickly?

3. Is it only when drinking cold or hot beverages with the food?

4. Is the food particularly heavy in salt, sugar, potassium, or magnesium?
