I think it's too early too tell. That study was flawed from the start. Also the TYPE of omega 3's were not considered, so I'm assuming that a garbage omega 3 source would also be more likely to dampen the immune system vs high grade molecularly distilled omega 3.
However, by the same token, inflammation is sometimes an immune response. So if you are reducing that mechanism by which inflammation occurs, you also could potentially suppress the immune system.
Quite frankly, the study could go either way. I will wait for counter studies before I make any decisions. For now, I'm still maintaining my stance of EFA's, particularly omega 3, being fine for consumption.
