Hey, Iwe been gyming for about a month now. Im 21, about 5'6 and 63 kgs. Iwe been basing my workouts on Jim Stoppanis shortcut to size program mainly because i find it interesting. Iwe been trying to work on nutrition as best i can and i havenot started taking supps yet.
Question 1: How important are supps? Are they absolutely vital at this stage? Im regularly eating a few eggs,12-20 grams of cottage cheese, skim milk, almonds and as much natural protein as i can find.
Question 2: Im not doing cardio too much. I do have a sort of stomach but nothing to bad, I also have a severe case of love handles which i want to get rid off, so how to proceed on that?
Question 3: How long would it take to get my belly in some sort of shape? Doesnt have to be a 6 pack, but just an athletic slim look to begin with? Can you guide me to a website or plan which focuses on abs maybe? Should i be worried about my abs right now? Or is it more important for me to be working on my upper body and arms/shoulders etc.
Question 4: I know a lot of ab workouts can be done at home. So is it advisable for me to do a 30 minute abb workout everyday aside from my gym workout? Or would that have a negative impact on my muscles.
1. Supplements are very helpful. If you want to stay barebones, go with a good Multi like NOW! Adam and a protein shake like NOW! Whey Protein or Optimum Nutrition Pro Complex. Also, creatine is an absolute must. Try Optimum nutrition micronized creatine monohydrate.
2. Reduce carbs from your diet in order to reduce total calories (cut down by around 500 cals per day), and increase exercise levels by around 30 minutes more per day. Cardio would be helpful.
3. It is going to take a complete diet and exercise routine overhaul. You can not expect to get to where you want without extremely hard work and dedication. Please give me your exact diet for a 2-3 day period and I will make changes to fit your fat loss needs.
