sounds good. apparently im supposed to gradually lower my cals, like 2400 for a week and if weight loss happens, stay there. if i dont see anything, lower another 100 cals etc. is it okay to just flat out drop 500 and start eating at 2000? i use a calorie counter, so i can count macros. i was thinking 35/35/35, would that be fine?

Im on day 17 of keto and I originally intended to not do a carb day for maximum weight loss. However today I could really feel the carb crash at the gym. Should I stick out this week and just do a carb up day on the start of the 3rd week (day 21). Or should I just do a carb day ASAP and start doing carb days every 7 days in the center of the week? I also plan to start EC stack this coming week. Will probably start to ramp up over the weekend as I usually hit the gym Monday-Friday and take weekends off.

Also, for 2 a days, if I ever have the time, I should be hitting the same muscle twice a day but with different exercises, correct? I have never even heard of 2-a-days until you mentioned them!

edit: i mean 30% carbs 35% fat 35% protein, or should i do 20% 40% 40%

Yes, you can definitely lower it down to 2,000 from the start without any negative effects.

With regard to macros, I would advise something along the lines of 40/20/40 or 35/30/35 as you mentioned.


edit: I saw your edit, yes, 35/30/35 would be very good.

Hey there.

I would definitely do a carb day immediately, then carb up every 7-10 days as needed.

2-a-days do not mean the same muscle twice a day. Instead you would do something like this:


Workout 1 - Chest/abs/cardio
Workout 2 - Triceps/calves/cardio


If you train the same muscle twice, on a deficit, you are risking damaging the muscle without enough surplus to repair it.

You can also do Chest/triceps/cardio, then abs/calves/cardio later. But you get the idea.

dunno if u still have my PM, but anyway I listened and went to hopistal (on april 5th) reguarding me having diarrhea for 6 days. (4 days was intense, after that i went bathroom much less but still went only on diarrheas)
they asked me to poop in test things. idk how to call it, but like poop exams and they did nothing else beside put a thing on my belly to hear the stuff inside...doctor said i can hear alot of stuff inside...my heart was fine etc.

anyway...it was april 4th and they told me to come back at the hopistal april 11th (bcuz they dont exam on week-ends and they need 2 days to examinate) and i had no pills or medicamenation to treat what I have...

luckily, I stopped having diarrhea after like 8 days with no treatments. my poop is now brown and normal again and no liquid etc.

but I still hear littles noises (or can feel my belly being stiff like if there was something in it agitating) (much less than before tho) but it doesnt seem to go away and its been 12 days...i dont feel it in the day tho but when im alone at the computer i can feel stuff moving a little inside. (it doesnt hurt, and its not cramps either)
i go bathroom currently once a day...maybe twice if i eat alot. (its been like 12 days now? been good for 4 days)

anyway...another 2 days to wait and no treatments yet, what can be the cause of the noise in my belly? will it go away on its own?

i know ur not a doctor etc...but worth asking since you know about alot of things, if u dont know its fine.

I think I might be worrying a little bit for nothing now. but I just dont understand why my belly being kinda stiff and stuff agitating.


It gets me mad to think that if it didn't go away on it's own 97% of it...I'd have had to wait another 6-7 days after going to the hopistal...bullshit.

Something i could just buy from the store and eat it right of the package. No cooking or such.

Also is soda very bad for your health? if i drink like 0,5 liters every day, is that bad? Does soda give any bad effects when training hard?

With regard to your current condition, I would highly recommend you start taking probiotics. I would recommend 2 cups of greek yogurt per day, as well as a very high quality probiotic blend, such as:

Buy hard boiled eggs or tuna fish....you can also get raw veggie bowl and eat that with it. Carbs...you can pick whatever.

Soda...is horrible. There is absolutely no place for soda in a diet...you need to get rid of it. Drink JUST water or unsweet iced tea (water + tea + ice w/ optional lemon). At least 1 gal of water per day is required.

Heya,

You said not to be in ketosis all the time and to have a carb day... why is this?

I've been low carbs for weeks ( About 50-70g of carbs a day.. INCLUDING fiber.. maybe 1/3 - 1/2 is fiber ) and I feel fine... sure I miss carbs, but is it totally necessary to have a pig out carb day?
