For linemen you are right, never cut and always bulk. Unless you have a supreme metabo - you will eventually get fat (as most linemen are). If you are okay with this - then you can do a non-stop bulking cycle. In addition you would be training legs 2-3x per week (depending on what your body can handle) (and also focusing on big power movements like explosive squats, barbell lunges, high jumps, etc, and also paying attention to key strength features like grip (wrist curls, holding heavy weights as long as you can, holding yourself on a pullup bar as long as you can, etc.), horizontal pushing (bench press, chest press, incline bench, dumbbell bench, etc). ok i was told to get Strong hands. Im guessing the holding heavy weights for as long as i can is that? Im 6'2.5" and weight 225pounds. A pouch in the stomach(usually for lineman) but run the 40 in 5 flat. I need to get my explosion better. So you suggest jumping with weight, plyometrics, dealifts down and jump up. Anything else? Anything with speed training. And continue bulking like keep the diet i just went to but add more foods(healthy obv.) Am i on the right track? Also told to have strong lats/back/abs because of all the clubs and dirty moves the audience doesnt see.
And as far as explosive punches(if you know what these are. Of you dont ill explain) what should i do for it? Cables?
