hi SKCRaynor, i'm semi motivated to do more than sit around all day for my winter vacation from school. So i was wondering if i would over-exert myself if i had a gym membership while doing a swimming course? my course is a high-level class designed for lifeguards and will be about 3 hours of intense swimming for about 5 days straight. i would also like to start working out more often again. Thanks!

I don't really understand this question. It seems there's a language barrier here.

The best way to overcome knee issues is to wrap the knee with a high quality knee-wrap, and also do neutral activities like swimming to build the knee strength back.

Was tires sry.
What i ment is she had a knee surgery some years ago, and now she has pain there when doing cardio or yoga, or "girl leg machines" ^^ would swimming help that, she uses a knee wrap tho

Do you use weight lifting shoes Raynor? I think it's about time to invest in one for myself. A guy saw me squatting and says that if I had invest in a pair, I would have made enormous gains. I'm thinking of this one:

What's your take on boiling vegetables?  How much nutritional content is lost if any?

How else would I be able to enjoy broccoli without worrying about contamination?

Boiling veggies loses a small percentage of nutrients. Raw veggies are preferred. However, boiling them is better than nothing.

I would clean your veggies thoroughly before cooking and consuming. I recommend soap and water for hard skin veggies/fruits (apples, potatoes, etc) and apple cider vinegar and baking soda for other veggies/fruits such as broccoli, lettuce, berries, etc.

You could easily do a 30-60 minute weight training program 3-4 days a week in conjunction with the 5 days of swimming. I would make sure to leave at least one FULL day of rest with absolutely no vigorous activity.

Just make sure to eat enough (add 500 calories for each hour of intense activity if your goal is to build, or add 200 calories per hour if your goal is to lose).

Also get plenty of sleep (8+ hrs a night) for maximum benefit

Swimming would definitely help.

I would also recommend keeping the knee wrap on and icing the knee after any physical activity.

I believe in training WITHOUT shoes.

I wear two pairs of socks and train in just that. That is the best way to powerlift and ensure that a natural symmetry is achieved in your body.

Weight lifting shoes are OK and tend to recreate this. Others tend to assist you in the a VERY minor way. A lot of them are a total scam.

I personally would just try to train without shoes, as this is the best option in my opinion.

So you don't believe that a slight incline in the heels that are provided by most weight lifting shoes optimizes your posture for the squat exercise?

I'm sorry I don't know too much about Canadian shipping.
