Blah good too know almost bought them. So buy caps? Do like work kinda like creatine? But without the water retention?
Sorry for wanting to know about it before i get it. Half you guys are like i want to get big what supplement and dont even know what their doing.
bcaa's have nothing to do with water retention or getting bigger.
Branch Chain Amino Acids PREVENT muscle atrophe during sustained periods of glycogen depletion (strength training, cardio, or simply between meals).
When you exercise or go any period of time without eating, your body begins catabolic reactions which include breaking down muscle to convert it to glycogen which is then either spent as energy or stored as fat.
The best method of preventing your body from switching into catabolic mode is to flood yourself with BCAA's between meals, before/during/after a workout, and before bed.
There is NOT a loading phase, water retention, or any type of direct impact on your body physiologically. It is only an indirect effect from the prevention of the body from switching to catabolic mode (or at least reducing the effects thereof)
I do not reccomend CREATINE caps however, I would suggest Optimum Nutrition Micronized Creatine Monohydrate Powder, mix 5g of that with grape juice 4x a day for 1 week, then take it only 2x a day after that (also in grape juice). The grape juice is a simple sugar with a high glycemic impact which helps the uptake of the creatine due to insulin response. In addition, it is not acidic enough to compromise the creatine prematurely.
