Raynor,

Is smoking cigarettes before or after working out detrimental in any way to strength progress? Overall, besides damaging all your organs slowly, are there any huge detriments that affect training in general?

Thank you-

Lung capacity and oxygenation is affected negatively which prevent maximum muscular endurance. Besides that, and the fact that it can slowly kill you, no other issues.

Anything I can do for my carpal tunnel? I got myself tested and I have moderate-severe in both hands. Apparently it isn't bad enough to get operated on. So I was wondering if you've got ideas to calm the symptoms.

Ibuprofen as necessary, and keep the area mobile and strong while avoiding things like typing.

I would recommend you start doing some wrist exercises at the gym (mostly forearms like wrist curls) as well as wrapping the wrists when you lift (Bench, Deadlift, Curls, etc.)

Also, use and EZ bar when curling instead of straight bar. Also you can get special cushions to use to keep the wrists in a neutral position when typing.

The acidity of coffee is not good for creatine. I would avoid mixing anything acidic with creatine.

Either way is acceptable...if doing it fasted, take 10g bcaa prior to it.

what is your take on Silk Pure brand of Unsweetened Almond milk? it's the only one i see in walmart. perhaps you have another brand you'd recommend instead?

Ingredients: All Natural Almondmilk (Filtered Water, Almonds), Calcium Carbonate, Sea Salt, Locust Bean Gum, Sunflower Lecithin, Gellan Gum, Natural Flavor, d-alpha-Tocopherol (Natural Vitamin E), Zinc Gluconate, Vitamin A Palmitate, Riboflavin (B2), Vitamin B12, Vitamin D2.

One of the youtube chefs (Leanbodylifestyle) always uses it instead of milk when baking/cooking so i wanna give it a try.

Another question regarding the strength program you have me on.

For the dips, are they 5 reps or 8 reps?
