Hey man I'm looking to redo my home gym got about 1k or so budget here's what I already have that I don't plan on upgrading.

- Free weights from 10 - 75 pounds
- Jump ropes/pull-up bar

I'm looking to upgrade

- Treadmill
- Bench press machine

But I'm also looking to acquire a possible cable system / power rack for squats/deadlifting etc.

Following this work out at the moment.

Hey there.

I, unfortunately, do not have a big background in soccer.

However, I would advise that you do your normal soccer workout routine - sprints, jukes, high knees, long kicks, and so forth.

With regard to a specific soccer routine, I would not be able to help you as I have never been a soccer player and have never trained soccer players.

For a good system in that price, get a power rack and good bench

such as:

http://www.amazon.com/Powerline-PPR200X-PowerLine-Power-Rack/dp/B000VLRVSC/ref=sr_1_1?s=exercise-and-fitness&ie=UTF8&qid=1340498382&sr=1-1&keywords=cage

and a bench like:

http://www.amazon.com/Ironmaster-Super-Bench-Adjustable-weight-lifting/dp/B000FMYAOA/ref=pd_sbs_sg_ef_4

for treadmill....a cheap one will do such as this:

http://www.amazon.com/Merit-Fitness-725T-Plus-Treadmill/dp/B003TNJRLI/ref=sr_1_16?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1340498721&sr=1-16&keywords=treadmill

Eat clean. Avoid excessive fats, and load up on complex carbs and clean protein. Make sure you get enough electrolytes and complex carbs before the race tomorrow....and plenty of simple carbs, complex carbs, and clean protein post race. Gradually re-introduce fats after the race.

can you be more explicit? I know what complex carbs are, but what are simple carbs? etc

simple carbs are from sugars and refined carbohydrates. I would advise sugars from fruits/fruit juice as your main source of simple carbs.
