Question.

I'm doing a very intense training routine currently. Squaring, benching, and weighted chin ups 4x a week.

I've been told to get at least 8 hours of sleep for muscle recovery, but due to school and work my body has kind of adapted and sometimes its hard for me to get the 8 hours. So if I wake up after lets say 6.5-7 hours of sleep. Is my body telling me it is fully recovered or should I try to get more somehow.

Try to get more sleep. You are waking up because you are conditioned to do so.

Both times I have taken it was after breakfast and after I was drinking some coffee (still finishing it in most cases) as I got to physical diagnosis lab.
I was never really concerned honestly, but I feel like I eat well still. But the fact that it was a little higher, how much could it be influenced by eating in the AM just before?

I'm hoping general health is ok. It kinda freaks me out in retrospect because I'm trying to cut and I feel like I'm generally in good health.
I know pizza is good for raising bp (it gave me higher bp in middle school and I went on Mg pills)

I'd prefer to stay away from pills and adjust diet without having to give anything up. Sounds stubborn, but I just feel I honesty don't have THAT much sodium, the thin crusts I eat don't even make up 2/3 of the RDA a day (if I eat the whole thing which I normally don't, or I split it into 2 meals) ..

Tl:dr - if I have htn, then so does everyone else and their mom lol
But I do try to get quite a bit Ca a day, (at least the 100%), not sure how to get the Mg/K without a supplemental vitamin

lol you do realize that coffee is a stimulant that constricts the blood vessels and increases blood pressure right?

If you are taking BP after ingesting coffee, it will always be higher.

you're fine.

haha ofc I know coffee -> inc BP,

More/less, I've just been neglecting that effect, because of its anti type 2 DM for men (according to research) in addition to being a great boost in metabolism

Although I wasn't sure HOW fast it could take effect, I drink coffee about everyday (for burning fat, not because I'm addicted)

I thought it took at least 20 mins for the caffeine to spike your bp. But still, it would be nice to drink it and then see a bp of 110/70 haha

My diastolic was a bit lower last semester iirc when the actual PD teacher took my bp as an experiement and it was about 70, which to me, was the more important one anyway (this is rumor/myth/idk)

resting 120-130 /// 60-70 is normal. Don't even worry about that.

Caffeine takes effect fairly quick....so of course that is playing into effect.

Increasing strength while on a proper cut? Absolutely not without steroids.

On par with what to do to keep muscle maintained....I recommend the anabolic cutting diet (KETO)

hey raynor im training mma 2.5 hours a day and trying to get some lifting in at the same time.. problem is when i lift tha muscle group is painfully sore during mma sessions.

my sensei recommended overdosing on BCAA's to combat this. just wondering what you think about this?
