No, that's completely true. Weight has an incredible impact in martial arts. I was continental champion back then (jujitsu Europe champion, not open) and if I tried to fight Burns he could simply pick me up, turn me down, and slam me against the ground. Lol

Yes, i also did a few years of martial arts, and even though patriot is bigger than alpha, alpha is WAY stronger. I would bet on alpha over patriot every single time.

As much as people tend to play me off as some brute, I have to agree with this. Not because I have done martial arts in the past, but because I'm smart enough to know I won't win a straight up technical fight against someone who weights less, has better cardio and has martial arts training. I can easily brute strength my way through someone who weights much less. It's not like breaking a leg, arm or a few ribs is hard.

while there is also alot of truth to this, and in this current situation it benefits me, but size isnt everything, there are plenty of lethal/fierce moves that can be done to larger opponents to defeat them without even breaking a sweat. especially if your fast and flexible.

everyone in the gym can outbench me. yet i completely utterly destroy them when we spar. i outhink most people. i out endure others who i cant outthink and i outpower those who i can, if i cant do it one way, ill find alot of others, mainly my advantage over everyone here is my giant arsenal.

have you ever placed in a national tournament? also when did u wrestle? jr high highschool or college, and also im the best wrestler and debateably the best striker at my gym currently and i dont even have a mma fight yet.
and ive been doing some bjj wich is like the kryptonite for wrestling, thats the one thing i lose to is someone whose super good at bjj. but lately im on my bjj time so its pretty hard to beat me .

Yes placed 6th at nationals

Wrestled varsity all throughout high school and college placing in the conference each year

I also am ridiculously strong for my weight lol I think you're underestimating me...

If you cut down to my bodyfat% I doubt you'd have more than 15 lbs on me which is nothing considering the amount of strength I have

Less than a few years brah. bulk up to 170 or so and maintain for a while. you'll be shredded when you cut down to 160.

Gonna be tough to hit 170 but with proper training and diet it definitely is possible

College wrestling set me back a lot...I actually wrestled 133 last year so I've gained a good amount of weight since then

Yes, lol.

If it were at least some sort of ruled fight etc, when there were only blows allowed (like karate, boxing, etc) a smaller guy could at least try to stand his ground being faster etc, but once grappling, grabbing, etc, is allowed, a guy who has 100 lbs on you is impossible to beat.

Not to mention when you punch somebody who's 300 lbs, damaging an organ is almost impossible.

ok well , thats pretty reputable i actually also placed 6th place at cincinatti nationals and was supposed to go to fargo, but i moved to bosnia.
and i guess i was underestimating you a little, but it wouldnt really make a difference because pure wrestling is not going to beat someone up :/
i remember trying to fight someone when i wrestlied, all i did was double leg them and take them to the ground after that i didnt know what to do. but it was a school fight anyway and they just broke us up lol.

Yea I understand that but if I were to learn just the basics of bjj and striking it would be a very tough fight for you and even then without learning the basics I still know how to defend myself and can hit hard as fuck

Weight helps a lot even when it's only fat though. And you'd have to take into account that you're pretty experienced in grappling, but you aren't in stand-up fighting (I'm guessing)

Anyway this discussion could be endless. Fuck it

Royece was not a little guy, though, and were talking about a guy who's been probably one of the best 5 fighters of the century lol
