Hey ray..

Egg whites..

Good product?
http://m.samsclub.com/catalog/productdetails/prod3990091
-why doesn't it list potassium on the nutrition label?

I've always just separated the egg white from egg.
Thinkin about buying the egg white cartons.
Cartons would be about half the price rather than to buy the eggs in bulk
Thoughts?

Thanks

Because the potassium is lower than 50mcg per serving and thus less than 1% of the RDA.

In regards to quality, I'm sure it's fine. Not familar with the brand, but as long as its USA made and guaranteed, it should be ok. I prefer to separate my eggs when using some whites with my whole eggs.

I usually have about 1-3 whole eggs/. Can't have too many, it doesn't meet my fat macros .... I have a lot of egg whites and it would be cheaper to get the egg white in cartons...

"These egg whites are pure with no added ingredients. They are separated from egg yolks and pasteurized under USDA supervision. The eggs used in this product conform to the United Egg Producers Animal Husbandry Guidelines for U.S. egg laying flocks."

If your not familiar with Sams club.. Do They have one where you live?

The "DailyChef" Is a Sams club brand only.... They prepare all sorts of things for their "DailyChef" products anything Fromm eggs to pizza to cheese to pasta etc. for Sams club members only.

It sounds legit. It's essentially the same as Costco's Kirkland version (which is pretty incredible versus "famous" brands sometimes). They do have it down here as well

Ray: I don't know if this is normal or not normal ... but how come sometimes (maybe 1 time a week) I don't have bowel movements in the morning. I only expect to because I normally weigh myself in the AM and right after the restroom to check my weight. But recently this week, I missed it two times I think, but normally I have one every AM. Any ideas as to why? I couldn't come up with one honestly.

Ray,

I've just recentely had a blood test that somewhat worries me. I had a previous one in March of this year, and the results were as follows (all were elevated):
Urea Nitrogen (BUN) --> 24 mg/dL
BUN/Creatinine ratio --> 30
Total Bilirubin --> 1.5 mg/dL
AST --> 57 U/L
Everything else was normal and in range according to the Quest Diagnostics I went to.

Results from a couple days ago:
AST --> 54 U/L
Total Testosterone --> 458
This seems a little low as far as my knowledge, as I believe I've read that 450ish is on the somewhat low side, although I may be wrong. The range Quest gave me for test levels was 241-827 ng/dL if that matters.

I'd like to know your opinions and suggestions on how to get these AST and BUN levels back to normal range.
As far as lifestyle patterns: I eat well and sleep well, don't drink and don't smoke. I exercise 5-6 days/week and see consistent results. Additionally, if it matters, I was on accutane about 2 years ago and was born with jaundice.

Thanks for your help
Edit: For some reason my PCP decided to test only my AST levels, and suggested a more complete blood test for AST, ALT, lipids, etc which I will get in the next few days.

It should be fine then.

Could be a few things.

1. Not enough fiber the day/night before
2. Not enough water the day/night before (especially right before bed)
3. Not enough water that morning (if you normally drink that morning)

High AST is usually a liver related condition....you having jaundice just confirms this further. Do you have hepatitis or any other liver disease? You should probably be taking liver support supplements regardless. NOW! Liver Support is good for this. In addition, no alcohol/tobacco/drugs and plenty of water is your friend here.

In regard to BUN levels - this can be a side effect of ketosis....are you in keto presently? If not, your liver condition is causing this. Besides the symptom of jaundice, what else do you have? What condition does your liver have that is causing the jaundice?

What's the best way to cut/lose fat?

I'm like 5'11" 165.

I know cardio is big..Would something like Insanity be good to do to keep me motivated? Or should I just run like 3-5 miles every day?

And my typical daily food consumption is:
Morning: Big bowl of cereal (typically oatmeal squares, special K, or Multi Grain Cheerios)
Lunch: Ham/Turkey/Chicken (1 of them) and cheese on rye
Dinner: Whatever my parents make (chicken usually, with a starch like potatoes, and always a veggie like corn/salad)

I mean I've been eating desserts in there which is why that isn't working out so great also :P

Keep in mind my parents will buy me some stuff if I request or cook healthy meals no problem, but they won't be going bananas for me to get everything and I'm a broke-ass college kid so my spending is limited foodwise lol.
