Is Whey protein healthy? :D

Short answer - yes.

Long answer - Yes but assuming you have no allergies to it and you buy a pure whey protein supplement without added artificial ingredients and preservatives. I recommend either Optimum Nutrition Pro Complex Natural or NOW! Whey Protein

Can you recommend a site/youtube/book/etc about baking? The majority of recipes i see on youtube bake with flour + sugar. i'm subbing stevia for sugar (1:4 ratio) with a little milk to compensate for volume. can i replace flour with whole grain + protein powder? Is there a simple formula or does it vary based on what I bake?

breads, muffins, cupcakes, pancakes, cakes, pies, cookies, etc. i love sweets :(

You want to improve your strength, and heavily cut, at the same time? Is that correct? Or are you trying to cut first then get stronger, or get stronger and then cut?

Optimally I want to heavily cut and lose the least amount of muscle possible.

Flax is a good source of Omega 3 fatty acids, more partiality Alpha Linolenic Acid(ALA). Flax oil is also filled with B vitamins, zinc and iron. The daily recommended amount is 1000mg. They are linking ALA to benefit your thyroid and metabolism, colon health and the lowering of LDL (bad) cholesterol. It's a polyunsaturated fat, therefore has multiple double carbon bonds - minimum of 2. Poly unsaturated fats are great for skin, nails and hair as well as brain function. There are claims that flax is also good for your immune system, but that's not validated.

Flax oil turns rancid(spoils) quickly, so be sure to refrigerate them.

Eating flax is better, they have loads of soluble and insoluble fiber and they are a complete protein source.(barely) In the health food industry, they recommend blending sesame seeds and flax to better complete the amino acid profile.

Unfortunately I am not a baker and do not know much about this. I would just use google. I generally don't make protein infused sweets. However, I'd be VERY curious if you find a few combinations that work.

Please feel free to post on here when and if you find some winning combos! Good luck =)

Essential Fatty Acids (EFA's). These help balance your cholesterol levels, increase HDL's, and thus encourage a healthier circulatory system and can even encourage fat loss if utilized on a proper cutting rotuine.

hey man. I wake up with discomfort/nausea in my stomach almost every morning. it often cuts into my sleep (i'll only get 5-6 instead of 8-9). it lasts for 15-30 minutes and really only gets better when I get up and start walking around and drinking fluids. I'm sure it could be a lot of different things but wanted to know if you had any ideas. I've tried cutting out dairy and gluten. tried drinking more water - might have helped a little. thinking it might be related to anxiety as well

I use the following:

ISOPURE, the unflavored one. Only one ingredient and it's pretty ridic imo. I mix it with 1 scoop of the chocolate variant b/c the choc has tons of minerals that you don't normally pick up (I don't take supplements outside protein) and has a couple natural sugars for post workout

Here's my question(s) though Raynor:

Taking grapefruit juice in the morning? How much? bad to have it any other part of the day?

In general, I don't drink any juices (besides Grapefruit in the AM w/ breakfast) ... I only take it b/c of the burning effect it supposedly has, and have 2 cups of coffee as well (no sugar, just 2 creamers)

The other question: I like to eat every few hours, but what happens if I don't eat protein with my meal? ie. I eat some kiwi and mixed berries around 10 pm as my last "meal" instead of having something with protein. It's easy for me to have a tsp of peanut butter, but is it worth throwing in the extra calories for protein? Btw, I use the smart balance one made with flax seed oil. It's the best tasting imo, and has good oils you actually need ;]

My posts are sometimes all over the place, forgive me in advance lol
