Hey Raynor , I'm a vegetarian/muay thai martial artist thats looking towards gaining about 13 lbs of lean muscle
been trying to keep my carb intake low to remain cut

Im 153 lbs and my height is  5'10

I'm looking to gain the weight more in the area of legs, then a little in back and the rest in forearm ( for clench strength )
For some reason even tho I continue to do leg workouts my legs don't seem to get any bigger they have just been getting stronger
perhaps im not doing the right leg workout for mass ?

this is what i eat on the regular

meal 1 - oatmeal/milk , banana , green tea
meal 2 - 3x boiled egg whites , vegan meat replacement (no im not a  vegan) , cottage cheese, apple
meal 3- lots of tofu, mushrooms, broccoli, apple
meal 4 - peanut butter/ 1 slice whole grain bread
meal 5 -whole grain cereal/milk , banana
meal 6 - cottage cheese , sunflower seeds

also looking to improve my cardio level sufficently enough for upcoming competition, any suggestions buddy ? :P

Hey there,

A few questions first.

1. Do you eat ANY meat?
2. Why do you want to gain mass moreso than gaining strength if your goal is martial arts superiority?
3. Are you open to using supplements and/or a weight gainer? If you already take supplements, which ones?
4. I need to know your TOTAL activity level for each day of the week so I can manipulate your calories/macros accordingly

1. No I dont eat any meat
2. I'd like to gain mass within the leg region to increase my balance and strengthen my foundation
3. Yes I'm open to using supplements provided its not something im going to have to keep taking after the desired weight is attained just to maintain it. At the moment I take multi vitamins and supplements directed to bones and joints ( glucosamine and marine coral calcium)
4. I've taken some time off muay thai to better focus on my body so heres all I do on the following days of the week :
Monday - Legs
Tuesday -Chest/ Tricep
Wednesday-Back/ Bicep
Thursday- 24 Min Run
Friday- Dead Lift until 1 RM
Saturday- Forearm/ Shoulder
Sunday- Break

What kind of doctor cleared you? General practitioner or a cardiologist?

This condition has me worried for you performing any kind of intense cardiovascular training. I am in the business of not fighting the body, but conforming to its unique structure with specially implemented plans and routines.

It was an cardiologists.

Once I run through the pain, it resolves and there's no pain at all, but it hurts A LOT when I push through and have decided to stop cardio activities because of this.

Here is the plan for building MASS

Hypertrophy Plan 3-on-1-off (regular)

secondly for your diet, I would like you to keep it the same but add ONE Cytogainer shake after your workout every day. You can mix 3 scoops with milk, fruit, and peanut butter and have that right after the workout. It will add enough calories to seriously boost your gains.

That is not "normal" and I agree with your choice NOT to pursue any further cardio. Does it hurt when you lift weights as well? Or just cardio?

Just cardio, but it's itense cardio, if I jog to a location just casually I'm fine, it's when I train and go for 5-10 minutes +

Edit: Sorry for long responses, been a weird day lol

So you'd say only after your heart rate reaches over a certain amount. IE: Over 170 BPM

I'm not sure what it is, as I have no heart monitor at the moment, but it's not intense cardio, it's slow steady jogging, or high fast intensity for about 10 seconds.
