I'd say legs/arms improved a little bit, but the rest seems to be the same as last year. What happened?

Don't take it personal. Natural bodybuilding or not, it just doesn't feel like there was much progress since last year. You know I'm always praising you. Being so defensive won't help you. Maybe your training methods aren't the best? Your dieting during the year (not the prep), etc.

I'm just not sure you understand what a reasonable amount of muscle gain is in a years time for a natural trainee who competes yearly in bodybuilding....

Maybe your right, im sure they not "the best" but I personally am more than happy with my progress. Only thing lacking is TIME. This is why I plan to take 2014 off from stage, that way I can stay away from long term dieting and spend more time growing.

I'm just kitten bruh
You look aesthetic but at this point imo you do look a bit small.. no doubt most of it is coming from not even having TIME to grow because of dieting for contests
Also you were doing 5/3/1 for awhile right? Maybe you should switch to something more hypertrophy oriented. Imo 5/3/1 is a shitty program for either strength or size, unless you want this half assed medium of both.. basically much more efficient ways either direction you choose to go.

IIRC he stayed fairly lean even in the off season by choice so minuscule lean gains are expected.

But you know thissss, man.

Thanks m8

No plans to ever take any drugs, I currently dont even like the look of what they create.

Look "better" is a tough one because yea I look bigger/healthy but the judges want glutes on stage so I look "better" now :P

I did 531 for bench/squat/dead/ohp
but kept a hypertrophy assistance work.

Tbh the routine is very plain and is based upon progressive overload, not sure how someone could argue against it.

That being said, I do plan on increase my volume this offseason as well as get into some powerlifting so should make for some fun time.

Although this is true, I dont feel that staying fairly lean hindered my gains in any sort.
I got up to 187lbs which is plenty heavy enough for my 5'9 frame and 24lbs over my stage weight

Lol Shane. You're basically saying that low reps is bad for strength.

I giggled.

@Oak I think you look really good and some ppl may not realise you're still sub 20 y/o
