The steroids will reduce the effects. Usually mild ITP clears up on its own around 6 months or so. If at any point it gets worse, he will need to go back to his doctor and receive TRA's and other advanced options.

While the doctors are doing their job, what else can I do to help increase his platelet count? I have done some research and apparently papaya leaves helps with this condition. So I boil the leaves in water and make him drink it. What kinds of foods should he avoid to prevent his count from dipping any further? Will exercise help?

Besides papaya leaf extract, try a liquid iron like Floradix (keep refrigerated), eating more beans/legumes, and also certain veggies like spinach, kale, collard greens, and other green leafy veggies. Also have him eat plenty of whole grains and whole foods. Avoid processed anything, and avoid sugary foods.

80carb/10fat/10protein diet

Wow.

it should be called the 10/80/10 (10% protein/80% carbs/10% fats)

That is the WORST diet I think I've ever seen someone advising others to take. Of course people are going to lose weight, they will become emaciated, lose most of their muscle mass, and fill up on calorie devoid foods like veggies and fruits.

It amazes me as to how blind people can be. 10% fat also is horrible. Your body needs fat to survive, produce testosterone, and keep a happy and healthy circulatory system.

Anyone who does that diet is asking for long term health problems - seriously.

5'6/7 140 kickboxing/yoga. Down to 120-130
Really she just wants a healthy diet and not eat anymore junkies.

But any exercises would be great too.

Other than ingesting too many carbs, would there be any other reasons that I haven't been able to stay in Ketosis this week. The only things with carbs I eat are broccoli, peppers, lettuce, and celery. I do have natural peanut butter, or almond butter in my PW shake, but according to the nutritional values it has 2g fibre 1 g sugar per tbs. Its killing my motivation, not seeing that DAMN keto strip change colour.

Thanks to your advice I was able to destroy my previous personal records as well as the competition for

max # of pushups in 1 min: 64 reps
max # of situps in 1 min: 51 reps
max # of pullups: 16 reps
500m ergonometer row: 1 min 38 s 5 ms

also on a side note, are there any difference between different brown rice type besides cost? My mom got me jasmine brown rice this week, its cheaper, but not that much difference in terms of nutritional content
